Center for Change Virtual Learning Day

SMEDA meets each month on the fourth Friday morning (third Fridays in November and December).  We meet at the Gilmore Center at Bronson Hospital. The meeting begins at 9 am with case discussions.

We invite professionals involved in the care and treatment of patients with eating disorders to join us for case consultations.

Case Consultation for ED Professionals
Treating patients with an eating disorder can be stressful and often poses difficult challenges.  As part of our monthly professional meetings, SMEDA provides the opportunity for professionals to participate in case consultations and discussions. Discussion follows the presentation with suggestions for case management.
The case consultation process continues to strengthen the collaborative process in our region.  It allows treatment professionals to speak a common language as we engage our patients, it helps to clarify the differing responsibilities of team members, and it has improved communication among team members.  The opportunity to troubleshoot challenging cases is one of the greatest benefits of SMEDA membership.
